Andalusia, Cabo de Gata

Filed under: Holidays & travels — admin @ 12:00 am

A preserved marvel in the South of Spain, East of Almeria, the poorest part of Andalusia.
The coast reminds me of Northern California, and the mountains of Arizona (but hush, don’t tell my sister!). Or sometimes it’s more like Camargue? No no no: it’s unique!
Tiny winding roads, mucho sol y calor, hidden playas perfectly empty in the winter, pueblos blancos, abandoned windmills, ghost towns and rusting open structures from old gold mines, spectacular views on the sea, moorish fortresses in ruins, and delicious calamari a la plancha in fishermen’s villages…
The perfect place to switch off! Definitely get there on a romantic cuddling-bonding week! And stay at “la Ermita de Renata”, a genuine dream nest…
